What to include in an insulated terminal quotation request
Describe both ends of the terminal: the conductor connection and the part that mates with equipment. “Blue insulated terminal” leaves too many purchasing details unresolved. Use the shape, dimensions and actual model whenever available.

Build the request from both ends
| Check | Information to request |
|---|---|
| Conductor side | Provide the specified wire size and cable information; request any required insulation-diameter range. |
| Equipment side | Identify ring, fork, blade or other form and the relevant hole or mating dimensions. Attach a marked drawing. |
| Construction | List the required insulation, terminal material and finish only when supported by your specification. Ask for confirmation otherwise. |
| Tool and packaging | Confirm the proposed application tool and whether the price is per piece, pack or other selling unit. |
Before approving the purchase
Colour can be a useful stockroom identifier, but a purchase order should not depend on it alone. If a supplier proposes a different shape, material or terminal size, treat it as a substitution requiring approval.
What to send next
Attach one drawing or labelled photo per terminal type. Keep separate lines for dimensionally different parts, even if the insulation colour and conductor range match.
